How does a duck defend theirselfs?

Question:

Answer: Nope, not with their bills. People just think this because they'll sometimes nip at you. They actually flog things with their wings. They will flap their wings but bring them very close together in front (almost like clapping) and it's VERY powerful and hurts a LOT! One of my ducks killed a hawk after the hawk got one of her babies. I had come outside just in time to see her beating away at this hawk, and about a minute later, the hawk was dead.
