Should you get bar grips (gymnastics) when you start doing high bar?

Question: 1) do grips make it easier? 2)when/what level should you get grips other information would totally be appreciated

Answer: Grips don't necessarily make it easier, but I would recommend getting them..... if you don't have calluses on your hands yet, you will tear them to shreds without grips. You will get callused hands even if you have grips (which is good) -- later on you can take them off -- get proper fitting ones otherwise they will either tear the skin in between your fingers (if they are too small) or bunch up and cause other problems. Talk to your coach ..
