Answer: Fishing in Alaska is a ladder and crab fishing is at the top. Seriously, if you want to fish in Ak, start out with a small outfit ( because no one else will take a green horn ) and see if you like it. If it's for you, it will be in your blood immediately, if not you'll be miserable the whole summer. Expect to make about 15k first year. After 7 to 10 years of working and saving, get your own boat and rake it in. I don't no anyone (personally ) who crab fishis, but it takes a lonely few who are willing to do it.
